Guided by a dream and fueled by their mutual enthusiasm, Valerie and Laine Ashker (mother & daughter), in December 1997, made the final turn on their 3,000 mile journey into the driveway of their new home, which today is known as Crow's Ear Farm, Inc. The white pillared house built in 1915 is located on twelve rolling acres and guarded by monumental antebellum oak trees..... dappled with dogwoods and red-buds, local fauna of the Virginia countryside. The lady Ashker's brought a new look to their farm in rural Richmond, Virginia - "California Thoroughbreds." Today it has become their trademark to train, ride and compete these horses at the international levels of Three Day Eventing. From racetrack to cross country, the Crow's Ear Farm, Inc. horses enjoy a new life and we offer them to those seeking an affordable mount as a 3 Day competitor.
